In December 2013, Office Max and Office Depot announced a corporate merger.  Since that time, the new Office Depot OfficeMax has been preparing to transition the University to a unified order and delivery process.  Changes began to take place near the end of 2014.  To keep you abreast of these changes, enclosed are new key contacts:

FYI - Staples Announcement 2-5-2015

• As announced in the Wall Street Journal, there is a proposed acquisition of Office Depot OfficeMax by Staples, Inc.
• Outcome of FTC rulings may take from 8 to 10 months
• Any future transition is most likely 2 or more years
• Procurement and our Office Depot OfficeMax team will continue to stay abreast of developments and will notify the campus community of changes that affect the University.
