Procurement and Strategic Sourcing (PASS) engaged in an RFP and negotiation effort to get the best possible combination of service, availability and pricing for the University community.  Areas on campus that assisted with the effort include: Special Events, Athletics, the Dean of Students Office, and Parking & Transportation, and we thank them for their insight and efforts.  We are pleased to announce that the University has entered into contract agreements as shown:

• Coach Bus Services - National Trails and US Coachway 
• School Bus services - National Trails and First Student

We believe these agreements will improve service, bus availability and customer satisfaction.

Pricing

Pricing for buses is competitive with the rates under prior agreements.  Each of the companies will provide individual quotes, depending on the duration of a trip and any special requirements.

Ordering Process

The order process is as simple as contacting the University account manager at any of the three companies to reserve a bus, obtaining a quote and/or confirmation, and processing the requisition with confirmation attached.  

• Department will only need to obtain a quote and/or confirmation from the vendor, and issue a WayneBuy Requisition / PO
• No prepay requirements
• Vendors will invoice for all trips against the PO# provided

There are now separate Bus Transportation forms for Coach Service and School Bus Service within WayneBuy to reflect  the service providers.  Use of a dedicated form is intended to simplify the requisitioning process.
